1.  EXPLANATORY MESSAGE AND STRUCTURE OF DISCIPLINE.

 

In the system of higher education pharmacology is one of sciences, which binds all theoretical disciplines to practical medicine.

            The course of pharmacology engulfs sections: “Medical compounding”, “General pharmacology”, “Special pharmacology”.

Qualifying description of medications, properties of medicinal preparations and methods of their implementation is fixed in basis of the program.

 

2.  PURPOSE OF STUDY OF EDUCATIONAL DISCIPLINE.

 

Main task of department pharmacology to teach students to be oriented in facilities of treatment and prophylaxis of diseases of stomatologies.

            In the process of studies students-stomatologies must master theoretical questions: determination of group, classification of preparations, mechanism of their action, feature of farmakokinetiki and farmakodinamiki of every preparation, effects of sides, testimonies and contra-indications, is to their setting, form of issue and dosage of basic preparations. With the purpose of control of knowledges of students and more accomplished capture of skills from excerption of recipes on all practical employments, processing of individual jobs of controls is foreseen with excerption of 3-4 recipes and decision of pharmacological tasks, built taking into account a chemical structure, farmakokinetiki, farmakodinamiki, farmakoterapii. After every section of pharmacology, with the purpose of control of knowledges and abilities from the mastered material, a thematic plan is foresee conducting of control work which is conducted in writing and includes the task of the medical compounding and decision of basic farmakoterapevtichnikh tasks with a concrete clinical situation, of the proper medications.

At the study of pharmacology students must purchase such knowledges and skills:

           to master general principles of registration of recipes and drafting of compounding samples of writing;

           able to write recipes on different medical forms.

From the section of the special pharmacology:

           able to analyse operate medicinal preparations and to estimate possibilities of their application in stomatology practice;

           able to write medications in recipes at the certain pathological states, going out from the features of farmakodinamiki and farmakokinetiki preparations.

Practical skills are purchased:

           to write in recipes medicinal preparations in different medical forms;

to use certificate literature for pharmacology.

Taking into account new organization of educational process in an university, which includes the method of the unique day and module system of studies,  lecture on pharmacology will be read 1 astronomic hour  and practical employments from pharmacology  will pass on such chart:

           practical work of students – 3 academic hours

           seminar discussion of themes of practical employments – 3 academic hours

           test control of knowledges of students –  1 academic hour

All practical skills which a student must master it is borne in “Matrikulumu”.

At the end of every semester a student must hand (about what a teacher puts a mark) over all practical skills which studied during a semester.

5. THE CONTROL FORMS AND CRITERIA OF EVALUATION OF KNOWLEDGES ARE AT THE END OF WORKING DAY.

 

Knowledges of student of 3 courses are checked up and estimated as a result of eventual estimation which is middle arithmetic from estimations for every type of activity (practical work, seminar discussion of practical work and writing control). All estimations are proposed on a 12-ball scale.

In accordance with the decision of methodical conference on a department conducted:

I. Practical part of employment

1. Excerption of recipes (in accordance with the list of programmatic preparations from all themes of employment) is 6 marks.

2. To the answer for supervisory of question from all themes of employment – 6 marks.

II. A seminar discussion of practical employment is 12 marks. At the exposure of estimation for seminar part of employment activity of student is taken into account and knowledges are shown.

III. Supervisory part of employment

1.      Excerption of recipes (3 things) is 3 marks (from 0 to a 1 mark for a 1 recipe)

2.      Tasks (6 things) of situations are 6 marks (from 0 to a 1 mark for every task)

3.      To the test of task (10 things) – 3 marks (0,3 mark for a faithful answer).
