COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The interrelationship of structure and principal function of each body system will be presented in two semesters. The first semester will include cell structure, tissues and integumentary, skeletal, muscular and nervous systems. The second semester contains a study of the digestive, urinary, respiratory, reproductive, circulatory and lymphatic systems. Through a laboratory activity students will have the opportunity to learn the anatomy of these organ systems and participate in activities which demonstrate key concepts associated with these organ systems.

II.  CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK, COURSE OBJECTIVES

Systems of the human body.
       Regions of the human body.
Term histology. Difference between histology and cytology

Distinguish between tissues and organs.
Understanding the structure of all the systems and organs in the human body is important for healthcare professionals.
