1.                 Class attendance is expected.  The instructional work of SANU 205 is designed for class attendance.  In order to obtain credit in a nursing course, the student must attend at least 85% of the class sessions. Students are expected to be present when class begins. Entering late is a disruption. Being late to class three times will constitute one class absents.

2.                 Students are expected to complete assigned readings prior to class. Class time will be used to discuss, clarify and supplement written materials.  All content included in the readings will not be repeated in class.  The student is responsible for the content assigned.

3.                 Students are expected to be present for all scheduled tests.

4.                 The instructors desire to create a classroom environment which will promote optimum learning opportunities for all students.  Therefore, students are requested to refrain from any classroom behavior which impedes the learning opportunities for other students.  This includes:  distracting class by frequently entering class late, talking or whispering in small groups and gum chewing.  A university policy prohibits eating or drinking in the classroom.  Students are requested to turn off cellular phones, beepers, and pagers during class as these are very distracting to others.
